I’ve been reflecting on pet adoption and why it’s such an important philanthropic call to action. Over the past month, during my usual social media scrolling, I’ve seen countless animals from shelters all over the country, some even brought to Oregon from other States due to disasters. It’s heartbreaking to see so many of them, especially those in kill shelters.

Adopting these animals gives them more than just a home, it gives them a second chance, a forever family, and people to love and care for them. Adoption isn’t just a short-term feel-good choice; it’s a lifelong commitment to making a difference in that pet’s life.
